Assistant Vice President, Group Risk Management
Job Summary
Reporting to the Head of Risk, this will be an instrumental role in driving enhancements to the risk management framework working alongside with colleagues at the Group and BU levels.
Our ideal candidate would be able to i) assist the Group in driving its strategic and financial objectives of performance, value creation and resilience ii) improves transparency, accountability, stakeholder experience and iii) is active and effective. You will also partner the Group Strategy & Planning and Group ESG teams, to co-drive an integrated approach towards strategy, risk management and ESG, while also working closely with leaders across functions and business.
Job Description
- Implement and roll out Enterprise Risk Management Framework for the FPL Group, including local and overseas subsidiaries. Besides partnering Business Units (BU)/ Departments in their risk assessments, risk measurements and developing risk mitigation plans, incumbent is expected to proactively drive risk management implementation across different asset class, actively engaging and getting buy-ins from the BU Heads. The Incumbent is also expected to oversee the and Business Continuity Management programme of the Group.
- In charge of the overall implementation of an effective and efficient risk management programme, facilitate meaningful and insightful reporting from line management to the Group. Assist in conducting risk training / workshops; implement programme and trainings to raise the overall risk conscious culture for the Group.
- The Incumbent is expected to keep up to date the latest risk management issues and emerging trends and able to identify relevant risks that may impact the Group business.
- He/ She must demonstrate the ability to think conceptually while at the same time be attentive to details.
- The incumbent is expected to be versatile and to bring in risk management experience to the Group to enhance the overall risk management process and framework
- Financial knowledge is important as he/ she is to assist in the mapping of risk appetite/ risk tolerance, and other key risk indicators. Knowledge of risk input to investment assessment is preferred.
Key Qualification
- Degree in Accounting & Finance / Business
- At least 10-12 years of working experience in enterprise risk management
- Good knowledge of risk management and internal control concepts, leading risk management practices and standards (e.g. ISO 31000, COSO) and SGX-ST requirements.
- Being versatile, self-motivated and strong thinker and executor. Excellent in communication and people management and stakeholder management.
- Positive attitude, confident, self-driven, committed and resilient.
