Assistant Manager, Accounting (GL&FA)
Job Summary
Assistant Manager, Accounting (GL and FA) is responsible for managing the GL and FA accounting activities of the company to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, taxes, and regulations.
The focus is on delivering financial statements and reporting with analytic in a timely and accurate manner.
Job Description
- Review financial documents for accuracy, reconciling accounts, monthly financial package and year-end financial statement to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax, and regulations.
- Maintain an accurate fixed asset register as per company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring period-end closing schedules are fully complied with.
- Prepare analysis and reports for monitoring and compliance purpose.
- Coordinate physical count of fixed assets and stock taking to ensure that reports are accurate and up to date.
- Prepare half year and yearly corporate income tax (PND51 and PND50).
- Prepare and coordinate details to support audit work (External/Internal).
- Perform Ad-hoc tasks and reporting requirements.
Key Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting (Retail industries is an advantage).
- Audit background is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), knowledge of SAP system would be advantage.
