Assistant Manager, Procurement
Job Summary
Responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting the procurement strategy to achieve company objectives.
Job Description
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for assigned categories of goods and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best price, quality, and delivery terms.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely supply and mitigate risks.
- Monitor market trends and analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (finance, operations, project teams) to forecast needs and plan procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare procurement reports, KPIs, and dashboards for management review.
- Support the Procurement Manager in strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier development programs.
- Mentor and guide junior procurement staff when applicable.
Key Qualification
- Minimum 4–5 years in procurement or sourcing roles.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement systems, MS Office, SAP, Flow One and data analysis.
- Knowledge of procurement policies, contract management, and supply chain principles.
