One Bangkok : Senior Executive, Design Management
Job Summary
The Design Support – Senior Executive will play a key role in assisting the Architect (Manager) in overseeing and managing the design and fit-out of construction spaces that support activities and businesses within One Bangkok. This includes a particular focus on art and retail spaces managed by the Art & Culture team. The role requires strong design, project management, and coordination skills to ensure that spaces align with One Bangkok’s vision and operational needs.
Job Description
- Assist the Architect (Manager) in planning, managing, and executing design and fit-out projects for art and retail spaces.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
- Support the development of design concepts that align with One Bangkok’s Art & Culture vision and branding.
- Prepare and review design drawings, technical documents, and presentations for internal approvals and stakeholder engagement.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality control checks during construction and fit-out phases.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and One Bangkok’s design guidelines.
- Coordinate with designers, the CM team, contractors, and other relevant parties to ensure the design aligns with program requirements and the business model.
- Provide technical review and support for artwork installations, particularly in public areas.
- Coordinate with related parties to prepare spaces, MEP, and other provisions for fit-out work and artwork installation.
- Support the Art & Culture team in setting up exhibitions, installations, and spatial arrangements for events.
- Work closely with marketing and operational teams to ensure seamless integration of design with programming and business needs.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, innovative design solutions, and sustainability practices relevant to art and retail spaces.
Key Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in design coordination, fit-out management, or related roles, preferably in retail, cultural, or mixed-use developments.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulatory requirements.
- An Architect, Interior Designer, or Engineer with knowledge and experience in construction, One Bangkok, and Art & Culture projects will be given special consideration.
- Passion for art, culture, and creative spaces is an advantage.
