Job Summary

The Vice President, IT & Digital Innovation is responsible for leading the organization’s technology strategy, ensuring robust IT infrastructure, and driving digital transformation. This role oversees IT governance, cybersecurity, business applications, and service delivery while fostering innovation to enhance business performance. The VP collaborates with senior leadership to align IT initiatives with strategic goals, optimizes IT investments, and leads a high-performing team to deliver operational excellence and business impact.

Job Description

1. Strategic Leadership & Digital Transformation
- Develop and execute an IT and digital strategy aligned with business objectives to drive growth, innovation, and competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to identify technology opportunities that enhance efficiency and business value.
- Establish governance frameworks to ensure IT initiatives support organizational priorities and compliance requirements.
- Champion digital innovation, automation, and emerging technologies to optimize business operations and customer experiences.

2. IT Business Applications & Service Delivery
- Oversee the IT Business Applications & Service Delivery function, ensuring seamless integration of applications and services across business units.
- Drive process improvements by leveraging data-driven insights and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead enterprise-wide technology implementations, ensuring successful adoption and measurable impact.

3. IT Infrastructure, Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure a resilient, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure that meets current and future business needs.
- Oversee IT risk management, compliance, and governance, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
- Implement cybersecurity frameworks and policies to safeguard enterprise data, applications, and cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience.

4. Operational Excellence
- Ensure IT infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable to support business operations.
- Monitor network, system performance, and IT service management to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with Group IT to implement enterprise-wide technology standards and best practices.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies that provide a competitive edge and improve user experience.

5. Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Define clear roles, career pathways, and succession plans for IT professionals.
- Encourage continuous learning and upskilling to keep the team at the forefront of technological advancements.

6. Vendor & Budget Management
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee technology procurement, vendor selection, and contract negotiations to maximize business value.
- Establish strong partnerships with third-party providers to enhance IT capabilities and service delivery.

7. Project & Change Management
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and manage project risks effectively.

8. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Act as a strategic partner to business units, ensuring IT solutions seamlessly align with operational needs and business priorities. Collaborate closely with other departments to foster strong cross-functional relationships and drive integrated technology solutions.
- Provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership on IT trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide regular updates on IT strategy, key initiatives, and project progress to executive leadership.

Key Qualification

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, managing complex technology environments in a large organization.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align IT strategies with organizational goals.
- Expertise in IT systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and emerging technologies.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing IT teams, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Experience in budget management and vendor negotiations, optimizing IT investments and service quality.
- Strong project management and change management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, PMP, CISM, or ITIL are a plus.
