Job Purpose:

The Senior Vice President, Development is responsible for managing the planning, coordination, and execution of development and construction projects. Responsibilities include overseeing project timelines, budgets, contractors, and compliance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and according to design and quality standards.

The role acts as a critical bridge between the Managing Director’s strategic intent and on‑the‑ground development execution, translating strategies into disciplined, high‑quality delivery. The SVP ensures that development outcomes support long‑term portfolio growth, asset excellence, customer value creation, and readiness for regional expansion in line with Southeast Asia market dynamics.

Working closely with the Managing Director and cross‑functional leadership, the SVP is accountable for development governance, delivery certainty, cost and risk management, regulatory compliance, and capability building—ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with commercial, ESG, and customer objectives. 


Main Responsibilities:
Development Strategy & Execution
• Lead and oversee all development activities including master planning, design, permitting, construction, and handover for industrial estate and logistics projects.
• Translate corporate, asset‑class, and country IE strategies into executable development plans that support portfolio growth and market competitiveness.
• Ensure development outcomes align with customer requirements, operational readiness, and long‑term asset value creation.

Project Governance & Delivery Excellence
• Establish robust governance frameworks covering project controls, budgets, schedules, quality, and risk management across the development portfolio.
• Ensure consistent application of development standards, design guidelines, and technical specifications across projects and regions.
• Oversee resolution of complex delivery, technical, regulatory, or stakeholder issues impacting project outcomes.

Design, Master Planning & Infrastructure Integration
• Provide leadership over design, urban planning, and landscape development aligned with master plans and industrial estate strategies.
• Ensure infrastructure, utilities, and township planning are integrated seamlessly into overall development plans.
• Balance functionality, sustainability, operational efficiency, customer experience, and regulatory requirements in all design decisions.

Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with Asset Management, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, ESG, and Corporate teams to ensure end‑to‑end development readiness.
• Act as a key development interface with government agencies, regulators, consultants, contractors, and external partners.
• Support the Managing Director in strategic discussions related to land strategy, expansion planning, and new market entry readiness.

Leadership, Capability & Change Management
• Build and lead high‑performing development teams across multiple locations and project scales.
• Drive capability enhancement, succession planning, and leadership depth within development functions.
• Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and digital adoption in development planning and project delivery.

Commercial, Risk & Performance Management
• Oversee development budgets, cost controls, and investment planning to ensure commercial discipline and optimal capital deployment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and governance standards.
• Track and report development KPIs, risks, and performance insights to senior leadership and the Managing Director.


Key Qualifications:
• Minimum 15–20 years of progressive experience in property development, industrial estates, logistics parks, or large‑scale infrastructure‑led projects.
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role managing multi‑site, multi‑project development portfolios within industrial or logistics environments.
• Strong track record in development governance, master planning, design management, construction oversight, and regulatory engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to operate within complex, regulated environments and to bridge strategic direction with disciplined execution.
• Experience working within matrixed, regional, or cross‑border organisational structures is highly desirable.
• Exposure to Southeast Asia industrial or logistics market dynamics is an advantage.
