Senior Vice President, Township Management - Industrial Estate (FPIE)
Job Purpose:
The Senior Vice President, Township Management leads and oversees estate operations, safety, and utility maintenance teams, ensuring efficient property management, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and optimal use of resources while reporting on performance to senior management.
The role holder translates corporate, asset‑class, and regional township strategies into disciplined local execution, ensuring operational excellence, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and optimal use of resources. Working closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership, the SVP plays a critical role in sustaining asset value, tenant satisfaction, and long‑term township performance.
This position bridges strategic intent with on‑the‑ground operations, leading multi‑disciplinary teams and service partners to deliver reliable utilities, robust safety standards, effective estate management, and resilient communities that support long‑term industrial growth and customer confidence.
Main Responsibilities:
Township & Estate Management and Operations Leadership
• Lead and oversee all township management functions, including utilities, estate operations, community management, safety, and security across industrial estates.
• Ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations while maintaining long‑term township sustainability and resilience.
• Drive operational excellence aligned with business objectives, customer expectations, and asset‑value creation.
Utilities, Infrastructure & Technical Services
• Provide strategic oversight of utilities and maintenance services (water, electrical systems, wastewater, drainage, roads, and common infrastructure).
• Ensure preventive maintenance frameworks, service reliability, capacity planning, and cost efficiency across estates.
• Oversee contractors and service providers to ensure performance standards, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Safety, Security & Risk Management
• Establish and enforce robust safety, security, and emergency response frameworks across all townships.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, crisis management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and internal governance requirements.
Estate & Community Management
• Oversee estate and community management functions to ensure tenant satisfaction, effective issue resolution, and positive community relations.
• Ensure tenant onboarding, communications, and ongoing engagement support a strong township ecosystem.
• Manage service charges, contracts, and operational budgets responsibly.
Strategic Alignment & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with Development, Asset Management, Sales, Finance, Legal, and Corporate teams to ensure operational readiness and seamless handover of new projects.
• Support managing director and regional leadership on township‑related strategy, expansion planning, and long‑term portfolio sustainability.
• Engage with government agencies, regulators, local stakeholders, and community partners as required.
Leadership, Organization & Change
• Build, lead, and develop high‑performing township management teams across multiple estates and locations.
• Drive capability building, succession planning, and leadership depth within operations teams.
• Lead operational transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety culture, and service quality.
Governance, Performance & Cost Management
• Establish clear KPIs, dashboards, and performance reviews across all township operations.
• Oversee operating budgets, cost optimization initiatives, and investment planning for township infrastructure.
• Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, ethical standards, and risk controls.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 15–20 years of progressive experience in township management, estate operations, industrial facilities management, infrastructure operations, or related fields.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing large‑scale, multi‑site operations within industrial estates, townships, logistics parks, or mixed‑use developments.
- Strong background in utilities management, safety and risk oversight, estate services, and contractor management.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in complex, regulated environments and to bridge strategic direction with operational delivery.
- Experience working within matrix or regional organizations is highly desirable.
- Township & Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of industrial township operations, utilities, estate services, safety systems, and infrastructure‑led developments.
- Leadership & Change Management: Proven leader experienced in organizational transformation, building disciplined, high‑performing operational teams, and embedding strong safety and service cultures.
- Strategic Execution: Ability to translate corporate and asset‑class strategies into clear operational plans and consistent execution across multiple sites.
- Risk, Safety & Compliance Leadership: Strong command of risk management, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness, with a preventive and proactive mindset.
- Stakeholder & Influence Capability: Effective communicator able to influence across functions, engage regulators and external stakeholders, and align internal teams toward shared outcomes.
