The Opportunity

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Development Manager to join our NSW Development leadership team. Reporting to the Development Director, you will serve as a strategic leader and trusted 2IC, with responsibility for leading complex development projects, building team capability, and contributing to the broader direction of the projects. Combining commercial acumen with inspirational leadership, you will help drive project performance, foster high-performing teams, and shape some of NSW's most significant residential communities.

Initially, you will hold direct responsibility for leading and repositioning the landmark Edmondson Square (Ed.Square) project. Operating in a complex and evolving market, you will set a proactive tempo, uplift performance, and navigate upcoming phases with commercial precision and vision. Following successful establishment at Ed.Square, your remit will expand across our broader portfolio, including spearheading the strategy for a significant 10-hectare mixed-use precinct and beach side apartment projects at Shell Cove, as well as contributing to market bids for our next generation of pipeline acquisitions.

How you will make an impact

  • Take direct commercial and operational accountability for Ed.Square. Interrogate existing models, drive market-led repositioning strategies, and steer financial feasibilities to optimise development margins, mitigate risks, and enhance investment value.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower a high-calibre development team. Act as the primary proxy to the Development Director, building a high-trust, progressive culture and positioning yourself for future major project director appointments.
  • Define and execute the optimal investment proposition for the 10-hectare mixed-use precinct and upcoming residential stages at Shell Cove, while partnering with executive leadership to formulate competitive bids for new large-scale development opportunities across the market.
  • Direct multidisciplinary consultant and builder teams through concept design, statutory approvals, and PCG governance. Ensure rigorous compliance with safety, program, budget, and design quality benchmarks through to final stage delivery.

What you’ll bring

  • Extensive development experience leading complex, large-scale residential or mixed-use developments. Proven capability in repositioning assets and driving performance through challenging market conditions is essential.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading, developing, and inspiring project teams, with the commercial maturity to operate independently.
  • A tertiary degree in Property Economics, Construction Management, Building,  or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of NSW planning frameworks, BCA, built strata regulations, and construction contracts. High-level financial literacy across feasibilities, cash flow forecasting, and budget management.
  • An energetic, forward-thinking problem solver with high emotional intelligence, outstanding stakeholder influencing skills, and the drive to set a positive tempo across complex development environments.

If you are a commercially driven development leader ready to take on one of Sydney's most dynamic development portfolios and step into clear succession pathways, we would love to hear from you.
