Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Treasury Specialist / Manager to join our Group Treasury team. This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity to blend strategic financial planning with hands-on treasury technology. You will play a key role in driving capital efficiency by exploring interest rate funding arbitrages and managing group-wide budgeting and forecasting. In addition to core treasury operations—such as derivative valuations and hedge accounting—you will be a key driver in our digital transformation. This includes supporting the implementation of our new Treasury Management System (TMS), streamlining regional payment architectures, and exploring process automation tools to optimise workflows. Job Description

  • Treasury Strategy & Capital Optimisation:
    • Explore interest rate arbitrages for funding to lower the Group's overall cost of capital.
    • Prepare and analyse foreign exchange and interest rate forecasts for Group budgeting purposes.
    • Recommend and implement strategic improvements to current treasury processes, including bank fee optimisation and bank account rationalisation.

 

  • Month end / Reporting:
    • Perform valuations for Derivatives (FX and interest rates) on Reval and Bloomberg including variance analysis
    • Investigate rate fixings differences on TMS for loans and derivatives with float component
    • Perform hedge effectiveness testing including hedge accounting advisory and derivative Mark-to-Market valuation at month end
    • Support the accounting for other financial instruments
    • Prepare and provide analysis for liquidity, currency and interest rate risk for financial reporting (once a year)
    • Support in the analysis and preparation of Treasury reports
    • Explore data analytics, robotic or AI functionalities for month end activity and reporting

 

  • Systems:
    • Support the enhancement of treasury management system for overseas Business Units
    • Lead implementation of Cash Accounting and Payments capabilities for Business Units on new treasury management system
    • Provide support for system changes, related testing, and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for new scenarios
    • Provide guidance and host training sessions for team members and other Business Units on new treasury management system related matters
    • Provide support for system data migration (static and trade data)
    • Update treasury management system User Guide
    • Streamline payment process including developing a strategy for payment architecture
    • Collaborate with IT and/or external vendor partners to co-design, test, and implement AI/ML tools aimed at automating transactional workflows

 

  • Daily Operations and Controls:
    • Daily treasury operations including review of deals, confirmations and settlements prepared by front / back office
    • Maintenance of static data in the treasury management system

 

  • Recommend process improvement initiatives to increase team's productivity and efficiency, reducing time spent and manual interventions whenever possible

Key Qualification

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional certifications (such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA) are welcomed but not strictly mandatory
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in corporate treasury, financial institutions, or investment banking
  • Good understanding of corporate funding, with the ability to look into interest rate (IR) pricing/arbitrage and capital optimisation
  • Practical knowledge of FX and Interest Rate derivatives, liquidity management, and cash flow forecasting
  • Experience using Treasury Management Systems (TMS) (e.g., Reval, SAP Treasury) and Bloomberg
  • Previous exposure to system enhancements, UAT, or treasury data migration
  • Familiarity with modern electronic banking platforms, H2H setups, or basic automation tools (like Power Apps/VBA) is a plus
  • Practical understanding of hedge accounting principles (IFRS 9) and month-end derivative valuations (MTM)
