Job Summary

The team is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive and dependable individual to support the day-to-day operations of Finance Systems, while also contributing to ongoing finance systems projects and transformation initiatives.

The candidate will be part of the Group Finance – Systems & Analytics team and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities, particularly in the areas of system administration, ticket management and master data maintenance. The candidate will also have opportunities to contribute to project activities across requirements gathering, process and solution discussions, testing, implementation and post-deployment support.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, IT teams and external consultants, the role offers hands-on exposure to finance systems supporting group-level planning, consolidation and reporting processes, as well as opportunities to develop broader experience in finance systems projects and transformation.

Job Description

Finance Systems Operations

  • Manage and execute BAU requests related to finance systems, including but not limited to:
    • User access provisioning, modification and removal
    • Company / entity creation and maintenance
    • Master data updates
  • Ensure all requests are processed accurately, in a timely manner and in accordance with established processes and approval requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for system changes and updates.
  • Support the maintenance and integrity of system master data, including performing periodic reviews and clean-up activities where required.
  • Track and monitor incoming tickets, requests and issues, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
  • Monitor system stability and highlight issues observed, coordinating with relevant teams for troubleshooting and escalation.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, IT teams and external vendors where necessary to resolve requests or clarify requirements.
  • Support annual audit processes and periodic user access reviews, including preparation and collation of supporting documentation.
  • Perform recurring finance systems activities and provide system support during reporting periods as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing BAU processes and workflows, and proactively share suggestions to enhance efficiency, controls and accuracy.

 

Projects & Transformation

  • Contribute to ongoing finance systems projects and transformation initiatives across planning, consolidation and reporting.
  • Participate in project activities across requirements gathering, process and solution discussions, testing, implementation and post-deployment support.
  • Document business requirements, existing processes and proposed processes or system changes.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, IT teams and external consultants to support project deliverables and follow up on actions and issues.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test preparation, progress tracking, consolidation of results and validation of system changes.
  • Maintain project trackers and documentation and assist with the preparation of project status updates where required.
  • Perform post-deployment validation and system checks and follow up on issues identified following implementation.
  • Prepare user guides, process documentation, communications and training materials, and support user training where required.
  • Provide other operational, project and administrative support to the team where required.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Key Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accountancy, Information Systems or related disciplines.
  • 1–4 years of relevant experience in finance systems, system support, operations, business analysis, project support or related roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfortable handling structured, recurring operational activities alongside project-based work.
  • Relevant experience may include user access management, master data maintenance, ticket handling, requirements gathering, process improvement, UAT or system implementation.
  • Exposure to enterprise finance, consolidation, planning or reporting systems (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, OneStream, IBM Cognos Controller, IBM Planning Analytics) and related finance processes would be beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with good analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
