Job Description

 

 

Job Summary

  • Review and negotiate on legal documentation relating to transactions of FPL Group, including mergers and acquisitions, financing and fund raising from equity or debt capital market
  • Liaise with external counsel and FPL Finance and/or Tax departments on the structuring of transactions and the conduct of legal due diligence, and advise Management on the same
  • Ensure that legal documents comply with applicable laws and regulations and work with Management on the obtaining of relevant internal approvals
  • Attend to legal issues arising from FPL Group’s business operations including reviewing and advising on contracts and any legal/regulatory issues arising from time to time
  • Provide advice and assistance on compliance with regulatory requirements including under SGX-ST listing rules and MAS regulations for managers of real estate investment trusts
  • Work with external counsel to deal with legal disputes, claims and investigations concerning any of the FPL Group entities, including reviewing and advising on the merits of the claims/disputes and advising on dispute resolution processes and proceedings
  • Work with Management to protect and safeguard FPL Group’s intellectual property rights including trademarks
