Assistant Manager, Group Strategy & Planning
Job Summary

Primary responsibilities include helping to drive FPL Group annual strategy reviews (forecasting and planning); performance measurement and analytics; financial/portfolio impact analyses from changing market conditions. The candidate will be required to work closely with all business units, Group functions and stakeholders.
Job Description
- Support the FPL Group annual capital allocation, strategy and planning reviews through coordination with all business units and key Group functions. This would include forecasting, portfolio analyses and generating reports to be presented and approved
- Support modelling of financial and portfolio impact to Group due to market conditions, significant business activities as well as recent and possible future market developments. Prepare reports that captures key business implication succinctly and develop recommendations where relevant (backed by quantitative and qualitative analyses)
- Involved in performance measurement across the Group
- Contribute to the preparation of the Group’s annual management and board strategy discussions and leadership conferences
- Review material investment proposals
- Build strong relationships with business units, other Group functions and stakeholders to understand business needs (risks and opportunities) to be able to support and help create value
- Contribute to other strategic reviews, framework development and initiatives
Key Qualification
- We are looking for a bright, curious, driven and thoughtful team player to join the Group Strategy and Planning team. This role involves exposure to real estate across asset classes and geographies and analytics in a business context and provides interaction with senior management, internal and external parties.
- Possess strong and structured analytical skills, ability to connect the dots between market developments to business impact, desire to learn on the job, deep sense of ownership and strong attention to detail.
- At least 5-year experience working in an investment unit in a fund, consultancy or corporate with a real estate, finance, economics or an analytical focused undergraduate degree
- Strong MS Excel skills and ability to develop simple and systematic Excel models to analyse complex issues critically
- Good MS Powerpoint and MS Word skills, and any other relevant analytics software
- Familiarity with research tools – Bloomberg, CapitaIQ will be a bonus
- Familiarity with accounting rules – being able to understand financial statements is a bonus
- Knowledge of data analytics and visualisation skills will be favourably considered
- Experience in project management and working in a diverse team will be a plus.
