Assistant Manager, Sustainability (Frasers Hospitality, 6 months contract)
Job Summary
Job Description
• Contribute as a technical subject matter expert to reduce carbon emissions and improve environmental performance of the business
• Work on energy efficiency and resilience of hotels and service apartments through green building certifications and relevant MEP
• Support the Sustainability Team in developing the business case for sustainability for external stakeholder engagement
• Support in strategic working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help deliver successful initiatives in relation to sustainability, particularly in decarbonisation and greening our our portfolio
• Act as a resource on sustainability best practices, taking into consideration factors such as effectiveness, technical and financial feasibility, and opportunity to collaborate with other business units and initiatives
• Develop, implement, review, and revise sustainability programmes/ policies periodically, or as and when there are policy or regulation changes; including maintain relevant documents and templates
• Any other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor/management
Key Qualification
- Bachelor in electrical/mechanical engineering degree recognised by Professional Engineers Board, or related field in sustainability
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in-built environment will be preferred
- Be intimately familiar with sustainability benchmarking standards and green building certifications like GRESB, GHG protocol, Green Mark, Green Star, etc.
- Experience in conducting energy audits, implementation of decarbonisation strategies asset enhancement initiatives / MEP retrofit works and client management will be a plus.
- Energetic and passionate to advance the ESG cause in the organization.
- Excellent written and oral communications.
- Possess robust data analytical expertise and problem-solving abilities
