Deputy Director, Finance
Job Summary
The Deputy Director, Finance will oversee the finance function for the development business of Frasers Property Singapore, ensuring accurate financial and management reporting, strong internal controls, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective business partnering with project and development management teams. The role is responsible for leading the finance team in managing budgeting, forecasting, cost control, project accounting, and cash flow management, while supporting strategic and operational decisions to deliver business performance. The role also includes detailed review of assigned active projects The role is expected to be a key driver of future of finance agenda, participating in automation initiatives, adopting new systems and embedding continuous process improvements mindset to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Description
Financial and Management Reporting & Control
- Oversee preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management accounts for development projects.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to group finance policies.
Project Accounting & Development Finance
- Supervise project accounting for development projects, including tracking of project costs, revenue recognition, and progress billings, setting up institutionalized processes
- Conduct detailed review of assigned active development projects
- Monitor cash flow for development projects, ensuring sufficient funding for project execution.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Monitoring
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for development projects.
- Track and analyse variances, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Provide insights on capital allocation, return on investment, and profit margins.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with project management, development management, sales and marketing, Finance Shared Service and Group Finance teams to provide financial guidance and decision support.
- Engage with external stakeholders such as auditors, bankers, joint venture partners, and consultants.
- Prepare financial presentations and updates for management, board, and capital partners.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor finance staff, ensuring effective execution of daily responsibilities.
- Mentor team members to ensure quality of work and professional development
- Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the finance team
Support for investment or ad hoc projects
- Review feasibility studies to support project evaluation and approvals.
Future of finance, automation and process improvement
- Champion finance transformation initiatives, focusing on digitalization and automation.
- Lead or support implementation and/or enhancement of finance systems and tools
- Identify and drive continuous process improvement to improve accuracy, efficiency and productivity.
- Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the finance team

Key Qualification
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- At least 10 years experience in Finance, with at least 3 years in supervisory role and/or experience with Singapore residential development
- Familiarity with SAP
- High level of accuracy and attention to details
- Analytical and problem solving mindset
- Teamwork orientation and ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
