As Director, Asset Management, you will be a key member of the Asset Management team responsible for the strategic planning and tactical execution of a global portfolio of hospitality real estate assets. Acting as a capital steward, you will drive asset performance through business planning, operational oversight, capital investment initiatives, and value optimization strategies. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Job Description
Asset Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement tailored strategies for assigned assets to optimize profitability, cash flow, and long-term value.
- Collaborate with property teams and regional leads to identify opportunities and formulate action plans for performance improvement.
Operational Oversight
- Conduct monthly owner’s meetings with property teams to review performance, address challenges, and align on strategic priorities.
- Review and analyze monthly management reports and financial statements to ensure alignment with business plans.
Capital Projects & AEIs
- Identify and evaluate Asset Enhancement Initiatives (AEIs), including ROI analysis, consultant selection, and project oversight.
- Manage the end-to-end AEI process, ensuring timely delivery within approved budgets and scope.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Review and analyze annual operating and capital expenditure budgets for assigned assets.
- Prepare and submit approval papers for major AEIs, budgets, and key asset decisions.
Valuation & Reporting
- Lead the annual valuation process for assigned assets, including managing RFPs and coordinating with external valuers.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly asset performance reports, including market outlooks, key performance drivers, and capital project updates.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and other external advisors on asset-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and reporting requirements.
Special Projects
Support or lead ad hoc strategic initiatives and projects as required by senior management.

Key Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Hospitality, Finance, Business, or a related field, advanced qualifications such as MBA or CFA are highly advantageous.
- Minimum 10–12 years of experience in asset management, real estate investment, or hospitality operations.
- Extensive experience in the real estate side of the hotel and/or serviced apartment industry, with an in-depth knowledge of the APAC region.
- Proven experience in Asset Management or Hospitality asset related roles across multiple geographies.
- Experience conducting feasibility studies and ROCE analyses.
- Proficient with market and industry research in hospitality.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

- Possess strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong commercial and financial insight.
- Results-oriented with a focus on execution and possesses a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering on goals.
