Position Objective

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager / Manager, FPI Group Finance to support the FPI Group’s financial reporting and control activities. The role will focus on reviewing and consolidating financial submissions from overseas entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting with SFRS/IFRS and FPI Group accounting policies. He/she will also partner closely with regional finance teams, auditors, and internal stakeholders to uphold reporting quality, compliance, and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Closing

  • Review and analyse monthly financial submissions from overseas entities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Group accounting policies.
  • Support monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities, including group consolidation and audit coordination.
  • Prepare consolidated and standalone financial statements in accordance with SFRS/IFRS.
  • Support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements, including Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and other compliance deliverable

Management Reporting & Analysis

  • Perform monthly and quarterly variance analyses against budget, forecast, and prior periods, providing insightful commentary to management.
  • Prepare Group management reporting packages and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders, including HQ reporting

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Coordinate and consolidate annual budgets and periodic forecasts from business units and overseas finance teams
  • Review submissions for reasonableness and consistency with Group assumptions, providing analysis and recommendations as require

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance closing efficiency, data quality, and internal controls
  • Assist in documenting and maintaining Group accounting manuals, reporting procedures, and best practices

Ad-hoc Support

  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and project support, including system enhancements, policy reviews, and management requests

Qualifications and Competencies

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CA) preferred.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, group accounting, or external audit.
  • Experience in a multinational or regional corporate environment is an advantage.
  • Strong technical knowledge of SFRS/IFRS and consolidation principles.
  • Prior exposure to statutory audits, intercompany reconciliations, and group consolidation tools.
  • Experience with SAP and IBM Cognos Controller (CCR) is an advantage.
