Manager, Finance (Frasers Property Singapore)
Job Summary
The Manager, Finance will support the finance function for property development projects in Singapore, ensuring accurate accounting records, proper cost tracking, and compliance with reporting and control requirements. The role provides essential financial support throughout the project lifecycle and contributes to continuous improvement in finance processes and systems.
Job Description
Project Finance & Accounting
- Maintain accurate and timely accounting records for assigned development projects in compliance with legal and statutory requirements, accounting standards and policies.
- Prepare journal entries, project cost schedules, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end closing activities and ensure completeness of project-related financial data.
- Support the preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditors’ queries
Project Cost and Budget Management
- Record and monitor project costs, progress claims, payments to consultants and contractors, and ensure proper coding and documentation.
- Track budget utilization and flag variances to the supervisor for review.
- Assist in preparing supporting schedules for project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in preparing cash flow projections for treasury management
- Ensure timely processing of project-related invoices and claims in accordance with contractual terms
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare management reports, dashboards and variance analysis.
- Investigate and explain significant variances between actuals, budgets and forecasts.
- Support preparation of financial presentations for senior leadership and joint venture partners.
Compliance and Internal Controls
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, finance policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain well-organized documentation and audit trail for all project transactions.
- Support external and internal audit processes by providing timely and accurate data
System and Process Support
- Use SAP or other ERP systems to record project transactions and maintain data accuracy.
- Support system-related tasks such as project setup, master data maintenance, and transaction validation.
- Participate in finance automation and process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
Teamwork and Collaboration
- Work closely with the project, development, and procurement teams to ensure proper financial tracking and documentation.
- Provide timely and accurate financial information to supervisors and management for decision-making.
- Collaborate with Group Finance, Treasury, and Tax teams on reporting and compliance matters as required.
Key Qualification
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- At least 5 years experience in Finance, with Singapore residential development experience
- Familiarity with SAP
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive, teamwork orientation and ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
