Job Summary

A key member of the Group Head Office accounting team. This Finance Manager role is responsible for accounting activities for FPL group investment holding companies, and its forecasting and budgeting process.

Job Description

In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting and financial close processed by leading junior team member as well as to support the FP&A, forecasting and budgeting process, including management reporting

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Independently deliver month end close deliverables to Group Reporting team as well as overseas stakeholders in accordance with agreed timetable
  • Prepare quarterly GST returns
  • Participate actively in budgeting and forecasting process, including preparing analysis and management reporting
  • Perform financial analysis and articulate insights via Excel, Powerpoint or any other visualization tools
  • Review and optimize finance processes, including maintaining SOPs
  • Provide close business partnering support to group head office departments
  • Prepare statutory financial statements
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors
  • Liaise with Group Taxation team on tax matters
  • Lead or participate in improvement/ automation initiatives
  • Undertake other assigned ad hoc tasks

Key Qualification

  • Degree in accountancy or ACCA
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in either external audit and/ or commercial organisation

Other requirements:

  • Strong knowledge in accounting function and reporting
  • Hands on exposure in using SAP system is preferred
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong Powerpoint user to be able to prepare well organised presentation deck
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Keen sense in identifying inefficient processes and possess drive to improve current state
