Group Strategy and Planning at Frasers Property is focused on examining strategic issues impacting the Group and its future.
In this role on the Research team of the Group Strategy and Planning office, you will be conducting macroeconomic, real estate, corporate finance research and analysis. You will be adding value by helping to generate actionable insights that deliver value to stakeholders. This role provides exposure to real estate across asset classes and geographies, and analytics in a business context and provides interaction with senior management, internal and external parties.
Job Description
- Prepare and present research briefs on topics impacting real estate investment and strategy decision making, including global and regional / country macroeconomic outlook, market assumptions under-writing for the Group’s investment projects, real estate sector fundamentals and business competitive research
- Help to deliver calibrated and thoughtful market commentary for the Group’s annual management and board strategy discussions, leadership conferences and external audience
- Working with business units, help formulate Frasers House Views that map out investment, business model and product development implications.
- Provide research support for strategic corporate initiatives
- Work closely with other members of the Group Chief Strategy and Planning Officer’s team across both strategy and planning areas
Key Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Economics, Real Estate, Business Administration or Finance with strong record of academic achievement
- Minimally 3 years of relevant experience in economic, real estate or equity research
- Possess strong and structured analytical and written skills, ability to connect the dots between market research to business implications, intellectual curiosity, deep sense of ownership and strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Powerpoint and ability to create effective decks for communicating research insights to business audience
- Good MS Excel skills and ability to develop simple Excel models to analyse complex issues critically
- Familiarity with economic and financial research tools – WorldBank Database, MatLab, Bloomberg, CapitaIQ etc and dexterity with data will be a bonus
