Job Summary
We are looking for an individual who provides safety, security and/or fire protection work safeguarding persons, property and company assets by monitoring and authorizing the entrance and departure of employees, guests, and visitors, patrolling grounds with customer service, and looking out for unauthorised parking in the premises, and escorting or transporting individuals to specified locations. Safety & Security officers are responsible for creating a world-class experience while ensuring a safe and secure environment for our internal and external clients.
Job Description
- Patrols assigned areas maintaining buildings and grounds safety & security, responds to emergency situations, assists in searches, and observes and reports safety hazards.
- Responds to and assists with emergency and assistance calls, or other situations; notifies the appropriate emergency personnel as needed.
- Assists with building evacuations and crowd and traffic control.
- Acts in response to suspicious persons and situations, safety hazards, and unusual or illegal activity in the premises.
- Completes logs or reports pertinent to duties or daily activities.
- Inspects and maintains emergency and safety equipment and reports malfunctions.
- Attends to door lock / guest room safebox issues
- Carry out investigations when required.
- Escort personnel when required
Key Qualification
- Preferably 1-year related experience in safety, security, or fire prevention work.
- Fluent in security industry standards and methods
- Willing and open to learn
- Professional experience in the areas of conflict resolution, de-escalation techniques, and threat response
- Proven ability to handle tough situations with tact and discretion and the ability to function at a high level during stressful situations
- Must hold and maintain applicable security certifications and licenses
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Excellent time-management, communication, incident report writing, and organizational skills
- Dependable team player with business acumen and enthusiasm
- First Aid/CPR certified preferred.
- Cert trained preferred.
- Must be flexible on schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays
- Valid PLRD Security License
