Senior Legal Counsel
Job Summary
We are looking for an Assistant Vice President for the Group Legal team to provide legal support, advice and guidance across a broad range of practice areas.
The purpose of this role is to centralize specialist expertise, standardize and simplify core corporate legal workflows globally, and lead the transformation of routine legal tasks to our lower-cost Shared Services Center (SSC).
A primary strategic objective of this role is to systematically dismantle legacy, siloed, and location-centric processes, replacing them with standardized global playbooks. Over time, the Head of Corporate Legal will lead the automation of routine workflows
Job Description
Corporate Legal
Oversee and manage the legal advice and support for corporate legal topics, including:
- Branding (Intellectual Property): intellectual property protection, brand licensing agreements, and oversight of global trademark assets (supported by tools like DiamsIQ).
- Data Protection: Oversee the legal framework for global data privacy and compliance in close alignment with the Data Protection Officer (DPO).
- Procurement (General Commercial Law): Establish standardized vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and standard commercial contract playbooks.
- People & Culture (Employment Legal): Deliver proactive legal advice and guidance on a range of employment legal issues, both contentious and non-contentious.
Stakeholder Advisory & Strategic Partnering
- Serve as a trusted, high-level legal partner to Group Function Heads for corporate legal topics, aligning legal risk management with corporate strategy.
- Provide strategic counsel on corporate legal and regulatory risks, ensuring consistent decision-making across business units and locations.
- Maintain strong, proactive coordination with other legal teams to ensure a seamless escalation flow for complex issues.
Process Efficiencies
- Lead the identification, simplification, and standardization of routine legal tasks and contract reviews.
- Drive the operational adoption of key legal technologies (e.g., Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), document management systems and Generative AI).
- Structure and manage external legal counsel, driving spend efficiency.
Key Qualification

Degree in Law with at least 10+3-5 years PQE

Singapore qualified

At least 10+ years experience as in-house lawyer in real estate industry, preferably with a multi-jursidiction remit

Mandarin or Thai language skills an advantage
