Job Summary
We are looking for a Property Accountant to join our team supporting a portfolio of properties within our REIT. This role is responsible for day-to-day property-level accounting, financial reporting, and assisting with consolidation activities. It offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid accounting foundation who is keen to grow within the real estate investment sector. Strong attention to detail, a good understanding of basic accounting principles, and the ability to work well with colleagues across departments are key to success in this position.
Job Description
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual property accounts
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for assigned properties
- Support consolidation of property results into group reporting
- Work closely with property managers and asset management teams to provide financial insights
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Support the quarterly review and annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
- Participate in the implementation of new accounting systems and/or chart of accounts
- Perform related ad-hoc duties as required
Key Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4-5 years of experience in accounting (property or real estate exposure preferred)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles; knowledge of consolidation is an advantage
- Proficiency in SAP systems is a plus
- Previous exposure to Singapore GST and ACAP an added advantage
- Detail-oriented and meticulous, with good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
