Service & Safety Associate
Job Summary
We are looking for an individual who provides bell/ concierge service, safety, security and/or fire protection work safeguarding persons and property owned or leased by monitoring and authorizing the entrance and departure of employees, guests, and visitors, patrolling grounds and parking areas for violations, and escorting or transporting individuals to specified locations. Service & Security Associates are responsible for creating a world-class experience while ensuring a safe and secure environment for our internal and external clients.
Job Description
- Assist to guests’ requests, luggage handling.
- Patrols assigned areas maintaining buildings and grounds security, responds to emergency situations, assists in searches, and observes and reports special hazards.
- Responds to and assists with emergency and assistance calls, or other situations; notifies the appropriate emergency personnel as needed.
- Assists with building evacuations and crowd and traffic control.
- Acts in response to suspicious persons and situations, safety hazards, and unusual or illegal activity in assigned area.
- Completes logs or reports pertinent to duties or daily activities.
- Conducts fire drills and safety and fire prevention programs.
- Assist in training on fire prevention, the proper use of fire suppression equipment and building evacuation procedures and conducts inspections for fire, safety or security risks or hazards and recommends corrective measures.
- Inspects and maintains emergency and safety equipment and vehicles and reports malfunctions.
Key Qualification
- Minimum high school qualification or equivalent in any field.
- Preferred to have 1 year related experience in safety, security, or fire prevention work.
- Fluent in security industry standards and methods
- Professional experience in the areas of conflict resolution, de-escalation techniques, and threat response
- Proven ability to handle tough situations with tact and discretion and the ability to function at a high level during stressful situations
- Must hold and maintain applicable state guard certifications and licenses
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Excellent time-management, communication, incident report writing, and organizational skills
- Dependable team player with business acumen and enthusiasm
- First Aid/CPR certified preferred
- Must be flexible on schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays
