Summer Intern, Asset Management (Hospitality)
Job Summary
The intern will work on developing an internal database of key performance metrics for the hospitality industry in the UK/EU, which may include internal data, industry statistics, competitor benchmarking and any other relevant data to support robust data-driven analysis and decision making by our asset managers.
The intern will play a lead role in independently developing the project approach, obtaining user inputs and executing the project, with guidance from a manager.
Job Description
The intern will be responsible for the following: -
- Based on the given project scope, discuss and obtain further understanding of the target users, use types, and user requirements.
- Develop the project plan and proposed approach to achieve the project objectives.
- Execute the project plan. Design the database framework and parameters, and populate the database using a specific country/region as an initial pilot.
- To the extent possible, incorporate automation and/or other analytical tools as well as data visualisation to enhance ease of utilisation and on-going maintenance of the database.
- Obtain feedback on the pilot, and make refinements as required.
Key Qualification
The intern should be:-
- Strong in research and data analytics (e.g. data aggregation, deduplication, error detection and data mining)
- Highly familiar with Microsoft excel (knowledge of macros will be preferably considered)
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
